Q: What is the advantage of the F327 over the 27.
A: These are different closers with different specifications they are used for.
Please tell us more about the door so we can select the correct product for this application.
Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.
Q: Does this floor closer do the same thing as an top jamb closer, with the main difference being that it is concealed?
A: The 327 Rixson is indeed concealed but is used for door applications requiring the specifications which it was designed for. Can you tell us more about your door?
Q: Richard, please let me know if you have one for me. Please see the image here:

A: Are you looking for an E327 or an F327? I spoke with two people that are deeply involved in wrecks and technical support in both the wholesale level and at the manufacturing level for Rixson and no one knows why that cover plate would be stamped E327 and as a matter of fact it's as much a mystery to them as it is to me if not more so.
When you see the letter E at the beginning of a Rixson and part number it means electrified but we are all, the three of us, in agreement that there's no way to electrify that door closer by any chance is there anything electrified on that door?
Q: Richard that E is actually not an E. it is No for #327.
A: Is there a follow up question that we can perhaps attempt to answer? We take deep pride in our technical expertise (something Amazon can not provide) as we know it separates us from our competition, so don't hesitate to ask.
