Q: DO THE 9630 KIT USE THE SAME HANGING HARDWARE AS THE 9631
A: The 9630 & 9631 do not use identical hardware as the 9631 uses the 9605 (molded Celcon type) hanger where as the 9630 uses the 9606 (steel ball type) hanger.

Q: Do you have the soft open and close hardware for the Hager 9630?
A: You would need to use the more modern 9630CS pocket frame kit onto which you could then install the soft close mechanism part # 1-269-8651, sold separately, and its installation instructions can be seen here:

Please reach out to our sales department for assistance with placing this order.
Q: We have the 9630CS x 1-269-8651 Can you install the frame without installing the door?
A: You can certainly install the frame without installing the door but before you close the wall up I believe youd want to have the door in place - does this answer your question?
Q: Thank you for the quick response. Does that mean that we would have to tear the wall apart to replace the door? We have prefinished doors that are not on site yet, and they want to install the frames. Thank you, Randy
A: The short answer is yes, thats how pocket door frames work. You would have to tear the wall apart to replace the door.
I would suggest that you review the installation instructions as seen here:

Additionally you cannot complete the wall construction until the door is physically hanging in the pocket.
Please share with me which Pemko model allows you to install the door after the entire kit has been installed in the wall completed.
Q: It is the PF28200A. My guys have installed many of them.
A: Indeed that would be step 8 of the installation instructions as seen here:

but completing step 9 would render the door captive inside of the sliding cavity.
