Q: Hello’ Its a double Maglock - Locknetics 392+. One side does not lock. I need to determine if it’s a bad board or the mag? Do you carry that same board I emailed you the picture of?

A: Did you swap boards and test?
Q: I did it’s the board
A: We can certainly sell you a new board as seen here:

However if you need just basic on / off functionality you do not need a board for that. Review the bottom of page 2 of the Locknetics 392 installation instructions as seen here:

I would remove the known bad circuit board and wire as indicated above.
Q: Thanks for your quick response! I appreciate you pointing that out to me as the cost for the board seems unreasonably costly. Thank you for help. I did remove the defective board from one side of the 392+ and that fixed the problem with the one door not locking. I used the wiring for 24 VDC Operation shown at the bottom of page two. I left one board in and removed the defective one.
But now there is an intermittent problem that the door’s will stay locked and the motion sensor (Detection Systems Co. DS160) light flashes green. Do think it is a defective motion sensor? Thanks Rick
A: I would think it is because the 392+ is missing one of the two operating boards but if you forward me a wiring diagram of the existing installation - but looking at the installation instructions as seen here for the Bosch DS160:

Have you tried to wire it bypassing the the remaining board ?
Q: No it matches the wiring of fig. 10, and 11 on page 3. I don’t know if there is a diode or rectifier located in the Securitron box. I haven’t tried to remove the 2nd board.
A: Remove the second board and advise.
Q: Both boards are bypassed now. I removed the 2nd board yesterday, now I’m waiting to see if that resolves the problem. If not my next move will be to purchase the motion sensor as it’s an intermittent problem so I don’t yet know if the issue is resolved. I need to get a key for the Securitron power box to see if there is a rectifier for the maglocks. Can the motion sensor it’s self be problem? Just as a reminder the issue is that occasionally the motion sensor light flashes green and the door remains locked for maybe 30 seconds, and then eventually it starts to work normally. Thanks Rick
A: Based on the specifications of this sensor, it is infrared, and the possible settings of your Timer Reset Mode and all other setting on page 3 of the sensor instructions, I would check all setting and wiring especially the Relay Mode to confirm proper operation.
Q: There has been no failure 3 - months and running after making the changes mentioned.
A: Thanks
