Questions and Answers
Q: i have a 390 maglock where the circuit board failed. I cut off the connector and jumpered for 24v operation. The auto door now hesitates as it starts to open and has jerky operation as if the maglock is still energized as the door starts to open. i have a P395936-2 board but the original magnet has a 6 pin connector and the P395936-2 has a 4 pin connector for the magnet is there a modification for the wiring connector or another solution? A: I would suggest that you email me a photograph of the circuit board that failed to the contact us link in the upper right hand corner of the website
and I will sell you a replacement circuit board so that you can bring your door back into proper and original operation. Q: Why is my mag lock buzzing? A: If a magnetic lock is buzzing or noisy it could be the result of an AC component riding on the DC supply voltage.
Using a meter, check for AC riding the DC level. If possible test the mag lock with 12 or 24 batteries. If the noise is eliminated with batteries it confirms that noise is an AC component is riding the DC.
Rattling could be caused by improper mounting of the mounting plate or armature. Make sure all components are properly secured. Q: Do the 390+ and 390DEL have the same footprint? A: Yes, but the 390DEL is limited to push side of out swing door.
