Kwikset Installation Kit - Used
This is the Kwikset version of the Lock Installation Kit that Kwikset manufactured circa 1990’s and is superior to its discontinued replacement in that it can handle 2-3/8", 2-3/4", 3-3/4", 5" backsets with its only limitation in that it does not a 1-1/2" diameter hole out of the box. If this was an issue I would simply manufacturer a conversion adapter ring for this purpose where it had a nominal OD of 2-1/8" and a nominal ID of 1-1/2". This item was changed from this original design into the replacement which can be seen here Kwikset 138 of which we still have some left in stock at this time at least in the middle of 2020. This tool was/is a favorite of handyman companies and locksmiths alike and back then we knew that we would sell approximately 1 per week.
NOTA: The kit we are selling is a used item, which is the exact item seen in the attached photographs.
