Q: I was curious about how this panel actually mounts. I was wondering for ceiling access, can you remove the panel door when working, since once on a ladder, this door swinging down might hinder access. Just wondering.

A: The Acudor ED-2002 10 x 10 Universal Flush Access Door for All Surfaces with Concealed Hinge 10" x 10" - Prime Coat White would mount through the sidewall via screws into the surrounding wood stud structure.

The door on the ED-2002 series is not removable although we do sell a competing manufacturer who offers a removable plastic access door which is the Cendrex RPL as seen on page 18 of the manufacturers catalog here:
