BC100 Series Single Cylinder Deadlock

1" (25mm) throw bolt with hardened steel roller pin resists sawing and kick-in attacks.
Precision-built solid brass 6-pin cylinder with phosphor bronze springs and nickel silver pins ensure long life and smooth operation.
Tough nickel silver keys for smooth, long lasting operation
Exclusive wood frame reinforcer protects wood jamb against kick-in attacks. Reinforcer is concealed under the strike and anchored to jamb by two 3" (76mm) screws.
Adjustable bolt fits both 2-3/8" (60mm) and 2-3/4" (70mm) backsets.
Free-spinning cylinder collar with security insert resists crushing, wrenching and prying.

Single Cylinder: Deadbolt thrown or retracted by key from outside or by inside turn unit. Bolt automatically deadlocks when fully thrown.

Questions and Answers

Q: Will the residential B60 accept Everest or Primus cylinders?

A: The Schlage B60 can be configured to receive a Primus cylinder. You would order the B60 deadbolt with a Full Size Interchangeable Core prep as the B60J. You then would order the Primus Full Size Interchangeable Core (FSIC) separately.

The above method is the only way to achieve this as the the Schlage B60 is a residential grade 1 deadbolt and is not available with Everest or Primus conventional cylinders.

Q: Ive got a Schlage B60 Deadbolt Venetian C Aged Bronze Double-Cylinders Double Cylinder Deadbolt and I need to purchase a couple of thin door extension rings for it. Do you carry a product that would work? The door that Ive installed the deadbolt in is 1 1/4" thick. Thank you!

A: We do not have a an elegant solution for this. Assuming you have a 2-1/8" hole drilled in the door, you could consider stacking 2 each of the Don-Jo SP-135 DU 3-1/2" Scar Plate with 2-1/8" Hole and Through Bolt Knotches - Duro Coated Finish as seen here:

and if you have an 1-1/2" hole drilled in the door you could use the Don-Jo DSP-135 DU 1-1/2" Inner Scar Plate Duranodic - Bronze Finish as seen here:

Q: Is the thumbturn as seen here:

installed correctly?

A: It is not and I understand this is a single use occupancy restroom and that thumbturn is an occupancy indicator.

The thumbturn is installed upside down and the deadbolt will not function as originally designed and also, as a result of the weight of the thumbturn, prevent the deadbolt from fully securing in the projected position when thrown.

I would remove the thumbturn via the two screws as seen, rotate the thumbtun so that the longer half is pointed toward the top of the door and reattach.
