Q: What is the diameter of the part that enters the handle at its largest diameter?

A: The Rockwood SP1051 is a typical 1/4 - 20 thread which has a "major diameter" of .250"

Q: I'm trying to repair a restaurant door where both of the Rockwood double cone heads pulled out of the hollow aluminium frame. I assume the frame is reinforced. Visually it looks to be 1/8 to 1/4 thick. Not much for threads in my opinion. Do you have a repair kit or recommend using a heli coil to fix this scenario? I'm pretty sure I'll need two new cone head studs since someone tried using gorilla epoxy to fix this before me. It's a single type 17 (assuming) pull. No pull on opposite side. Any advice will be appreciated.

A: Aluminum doors are not reinforced say as a wood door or hollow metal door. Through bolt and skip the rivnut idea is my thought. Purchase the following components would allow to to, all but permanently, solve the problem.
