Q: I did receive the product that I ordered from you. I'm sending my guys to install today. Are there any other instructions that I could have them look at online? I don't understand the need for the drip cap
A: On your order we supplied the Reese S498A 36" Thermal Break Panic Threshold as seen here:

then the Reese 330C 36" Automatic Door Bottom as seen here:

and we included the Reese R199A 36" Raindrip Drip Cap undrilled as seen here:

The point of suppling the drip caps undrilled is for you to mount them capped onto the face the the automatic door bottom so as to assist in keeping water from gaining a position at the plane of the seal from the automatic door bottom. Folks that have used drip caps, either the standard 9/16" projection used at the bottom of a door, or the 2-1/2" projection used at the header of a door (or windows as well) are proven outrageously effective at getting the water away from the seal.
When applying the drip cap over the auto door bottoms, mark the holes drilled in the auto bottom onto the drip cap (I was not optimistic the factory could perfectly align the mounting holes between the drip cap and the automatic door bottom) and attach the cap over the door bottom.
Please send photos of your completed installation as I would enjoy seeing the "finished product".
