Can be used anywhere a roller/ball catch etc. would normally be fitted
As magnets don’t touch (after installation)

No latch noise when opening and shutting door (unlike a roller/ball catch)
Completely concealed when door closed, no unsightly protruding strike plate lip (unlike a roller/ball catch)

SmartBore ezifit installation system - Much easier & faster to install than traditional 'rectangular face' roller/ball catches etc, due to an innovative and patented design/installation process that only requires boring a series of overlapping holes with a 25mm(1") spade bit to create the recesses required to flush mount the magnetic assemblies. Q: We just spoke on the phone in regards to a PLS24PRO-XHD. Rich when you have a moment can you advise if this Magnetic Catch can be used on a hollow metal application?

A: I would gauge the success of the Precision Lock PLS24PROXHD Extra Heavy Duty Concealed Magnetic Catch with Adjustable Strength, Silver installed in a hollow metal door opening as reasonable. The issue is the door x frame are ferrous and therefore highly magnetic. Would this work? Sure, though the behavior will be different as compared to installing this into a wood door and wood frame.
