Q: I says to install on the push side of the door..is this absolutely required?

A: Automatic door bottoms when surface mounted or semi recessed are always mounted on the push side of the door. If you have a door that swings out you may consider installing the Pemko CAM500 Cam for Automatic Door Bottoms as seen here:

The CAM500 is used when mounting the Automatic Door Bottom on the Pull (rather than the Push side) side of a door.
