The gate Spring Pivot Hinge has an exterior tension adjustment which can be adjusted after hinge is applied.The Anti-friction bearing carries the weight of the gate and an anti-friction bearing in the top socket reduces friction and wear
Spring is large enough for heavy duty conditions but the adjustable tension makes it equally suited for light gates
The 4007 RB Series attachments are applied to the surface of the frame and the box is applied to the bottom surface of the gate. However, in the 4007MRB Series, the box is mortised into the bottom of the gate

Q: Hello, I saw your review of the McKinney 4007RB26D Ajax Horizontal Double Acting Pivot Hinge on youtube. I’m a structural steel fabricator so hinges are not my area of expertise. I’m writing to see if you can recommend a hinge like this one since it appears to be discontinued. I assume it is the same or similar to the Bommer 7314. These are for shower doors in correctional facilities in the Midwest. I am looking for a continuous supply. I’d appreciate any help you can provide.
