Q: The dimension between the door frame and the cylinder lock is only 5/8". Is it enough to install this product?

A: There is not enough room to install this unit in the space of 5/8" from the stop and the edge of the cylinder.

I believe it is possible to still make something like this work:

with perhaps some grinding or other modification to the U channel.
