Q: I am trying to replace a LCN 1371 closure and having trouble with the removal of the old one. Can you advise?
A: The LCN 1371 is an unusual door closer in that it mounts to a mounting plate that has first been attached tot he door (or frame).
Please see step 3 of the installation instructions as seen here:

Carefully remove the screw indicated as #3 which is located under the cover referred to in step 6.
If you need to replace the closer, we have new units in stock and we also perform repair service on your closer.
Q: If I send an LCN 1371 I could get a different model sent back? Or is it the same model number just a different unit? I would like a 1371 in return.
A: If you send in a 1371, you will receive a 1371. We will not send you a different model. It is very likely to not be the exact original closer body you sent in, but it will be the same model.

Q: How do I get a Size 1 (ADA) closer to close against air pressure?
A: If an Size 1 (ADA) closer is set to 5 lbs. opening force, it will only have about 3 lbs. (60/70%) closing force. If the closer will not close against air pressure, but the ADA requirements have to be met, they may have to change to an automatic operator with a "power boost" option (Senior Swing) if there is that much pressure. If ADA does not have to be met you can increase the spring power on the end of the closer.
