Q: Hi! What is the hole spacing? Does this ship from US? You tube says steel, is this aluminum? Thanks
A: the hole spacing on this is 2 1/4" wide CTC and 1 1/4" high CTC.
This ships from the US indeed and the body is a steel base with a corrosion resistant coating.

Q: Hello, I am looking to replace four rim cylinder locks on the 4 garage doors to a house that I recently purchased. The previous owner does not have the keys to these locks. I would like to purchase all four new locks keyed alike to one (Kwikset) key. I watched your video informational review of the Kaba Ilco 605KW-04-41 “Replacement Rim Cylinder with Kwikset Keyway – Satin Brass” and feel that this would be a suitable replacement for me; but wanted to communicate with you to make sure it will work, before I place the order. I have attached, with this email, a .pdf document including photos and description/measurements of my existing cylinders: Wooden Garage (4) Doors with Rim Cylinder Locks House was built in 1994 Doors thickness measure 1-1/4” to 1-3/8” thick Doors holes for locks measure 1-1/8” I.D. Rim Cylinder face for key is 1-1/4” O.D. Rim Cylinder escutcheon trim ring is 1-15/16” O.D. Rim Cylinder tail piece length is 1-1/8” to 1-3/16” long Rim Cylinder mounting bolt holes are 5/8” apart center-to-center Rim Cylinder faces are stamped as “PYCM V” My questions: 1.) Can I purchase 4 cylinders keyed alike to one Kwikset key? 2.) In the future, if necessary, will it be possible to rekey them to a different Kwikset key? 3.) Based on the information I’ve provided; can you determine if this cylinder will work as a replacement for my existing cylinder? 4.) Can you estimate your standard shipping charge to me in Gardendale, Alabama 35071? Please let me know if additional information is needed. Thank you very much for any assistance that you might offer. I look forward to hearing back from you. Regards, William L.
A: The cylinder I suggest you use is the Kaba 7015 cylinder as it is made of solid brass and is therefore higher quality.
Answers to your questions.
1. Yes - you can purchase 4 cylinders keyed alike to one Kwikset key.
2. Yes - in the future, if necessary, it is possible to rekey them to a different Kwikset key.
3. Yes - what you have is a common rim cylinder and likely your only labor needed during the installation process will be the trimming of the new cylinders tailpieces down to accommodate your requirements.
4. Shipping charges are calculated at the time or order and checkout. A shipping charge range is likely 8.00 - 12.00 dollars
Questions for you: 1. is the Kwisket keyway mandatory? Is the Satin Brass finish mandatory?

Q: Thank you for responding with your recommendations and additional questions. I'm all for a higher quality cylinder. The Kwikset keyway is not mandatory ... but I do want: All four cylinders keyed alike. The ability to have additional keys cut from standard key blanks. The ability to rekey the cylinders if necessary. The Satin Brass finish is not mandatory ... polished brass, satin or polished nickel, satin or polished chrome ... any of these would be fine. Please let me know what my options are and I will make a selection to place my order. Thank you again for all of your assistance. William
A: This is the item you want: Already keyed alike:
