A: According to the ADA Standards (28 CFR 36, 4.2.5 and 4.2.6 neither the extinguisher handle nor the cabinet handle can be mounted higher than 48" AFF for applicaitons which allow for only a forward approach in a wheelchair to the object, no higher than 54" AFF for those applications which allow for a paraller approach.

It should be noted that these restrictions also fall within the current National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines, which call for a maximum mounting height of 60” AFF to the top of the extinguisher.

A: The difference between the 1027F10 and the 1023F10 is that the -10 is Clear Acrylic and the -17 is Clear Tempered Glass and the 1023 is surface mounted and the 1027 is a 3" rolled Trim Style Edge and yes we can order the 1023F17.
