Q: Do you know if this will work for a Karp/Warnock-Hershey access panel, or can you tell me what the thread size is?

A: Quite likely the best option for us would be to see a photograph of the fire rated access panel that you have and then we can contact the manufacturer and obtain the proper threaded key ring for that unit. Please reply to this email with photographs of your unit and the label as well indicating the manufacturer and the testing laboratory.

Q: Thanks for the response. Karp responded to my inquiry and said they quit making this line of access panels more than 10 years ago and that spare turn rings were no longer available. The house was built 15 years ago. I responded and asked for the thread size and pitch, but have not yet heard back. The JL industries key looks similar. The pin on the end is probably just to aid in alignment. Images here:
