Q: Good evening, I've purchased a hpc blitz machine off another locksmith who has done the dirty on me in which I now have a machine with no cards, he apparently lost the book, 'load of poo'. I'm looking for a quote for a folder and cards for the Australian market ( or if you have something close ) if you need some more info of cards that we use regularly I can get card numbers to make it easier. Thank you, Ashley
A: We can and will help. Which Blitz machine do you have? The full line Catalog is here:

Please review and advise.
Q: Are the flip up gauges for the blitz machines all the same even if it is a 15 year old one? Which part number fits my older blitz code cutter , as a flip up gauge ? HPC cmb 1200 FG or HPC cmsb 1233 cmsb flip gauge ? my serial number 30662 has a red handle that bolts through a hole in the gauge to flip it up . are the gauges on your site the same ?
A: If you have a 1200CMB the part number is CMB-FG as seen here:

Q: I am trying to cut some Hayworth key blanks and I can not figure which card to use in my 1200.
A: An HPC CX32 Code Card Hudson Disc
will do the job

Q: I noticed the 1200CMB lists many optional cutters. Are any of them necessary to cut keys from the 150 cards that are included in the original package? I noticed that there was an optional cutter for Kwikset. I would have thought that Kwikset would be included using one of the supplied cutters.
A: Every code card will indicate which cutter to use. Part of the desirability of the 1200 machines from HPC is their flexibility to cut multiple platforms and this flexibility requires, at times, different cutters, jaws and code cards.
Q: Using the 1200 CMB, how can I determine when and how to use the red shim and the horseshoe shim. This is confusing to me.
A: The Red Tip Gauge CM-1054MA is the standard replacement tip stop for the 1200CMB, 1200CM, 1200MAX, 3333 and 6666 key machines.
The Horseshoe Tip Gauge CM-1054R is used for 7 pin Best and 10 cut Ford on 1200 Series machines.

Q: I am missing 5 cards from my pack or 150. I really need the CW14MCX for my work and it is one of the 5 missing cards. How can I get the mising cards? I compared everything that was sent against the list so I know they are supposed to be there.
A: Please see the cross reference chart on the item as seen here:

and please let me know which cards you require.
Q: I spent a lot of time pouring over the documentation. There is a list of all the code cards that are supposed to be included in the “Deck-150” that is part of the package. Yes there are a few (very few) code cards that use optional cutters. Not to go into gory details but the two cutters that come with the system can be used to cut 99% of the items. It is usually the Medco keys that require special equipment. Kwikset does not require an optional cutter. If you read the manual, you will see that there are certain cases where you need a wider than normal cut. In these situations the card will have 3 lines for the depth. There is a large line and a small line on each side of the large line. Using the supplied cutter, you begin the cut at the first small line and continue milling until you reach the second small line. The optional cutter is not necessary but is available for convenience should someone need to make a lot of keys. The optional cutter only requires you to make a single cut on the large line in the center of the 3 so you don’t need to mill across from the first small line to the second. This is explained in the manual. There are several files online that list the contents of each deck of code cards. The missing cards are supposed to be in Deck-150 and do NOT require any optional cutters. Unlike most engineers, I actually spent the time to read the entire manual from end to end twice. ?? I also plan to order some optional equipment but they will be of no use without the card that is supposed to be in Deck-150. There are some cases where a card is supplied with an accessory. The Tibbe Key, Tubular Key and Calibration Kit includes a code card but the other cutters do not.
A: Thank you for this valuable feedback. I have sent you a quote for the five cards that you were looking for.
