Q: what is the difference between a kick plate and a mop plate?
A:
Typically a mop plate does not exceed 4” in height where is a kick plate can be greater than 4” and up to 12” before it's considered an armor plate but the primary difference is that a mop plate is generally installed on the pole side of the door and a kick plate is mounted on the push side of the door.
