A: You have mounted a right hand hold open arm upside down on the left side of the hatch which does not work. Also you have the bottom of the hold open arm mounted on the original cable stop bracket. The hold open arm needs to be mounted through the curb or at minimum at the same location as the detail attached as seen here :
