Q: can I use this arm sc-80-3049DS DEAD STOP HOLD OPEN ARM FOR MODEL 3301/3501

A: The Dor-o-matic arm would not work on the Yale 3300 series closers but we do stop different dead stop, heavy duty and hold open arms for the Yale units.

Q: Hi Richard, I am wondering if you have to reach up and turn the dead stop to release and close the door. We are looking at installing these in a greenhouse, however not everyone who needs to use these doors will be able to reach the top of the frame.

A: The DOR-O-MATIC SC80-3049DS Dead Stop Hold-Open Parallel Arm is manually selective hold-open function and yes you have to reach up to the door closer arm to set and release.
