Q: Do the silencers. Come in thicker sizes?
A: I unfortunately have nothing thicker in head size as a metal frame silencers and the burns unit feature's a face thickness of .125" (which is at or quite close to industry standard).

Q: Good day sir we checked you web site for the door silencer we want to make order about 20000 of your product but can u change the colour of the silencer to the brown colour and if u can change the colour of The silencer plz contact as soon as passible thanks
A: We cannot make them brown in color. If perhaps the order was for 100,00 pieces that factory may entertain the idea - but light and dark gray are the only colors available.

Q: looking for the above item but in a different size, the one we have on the site it is for a 9/32" hole and the one that he needs is for a 5/32" hole.
A: Metal frame silencers or rubber bumpers as they are commonly referred to it will fit not into a hole that is 5/32 of an inch diameter. I am aware that frames that were made several decades ago did require a bumper that took this size or thereabouts.
The only path forward is to purchase the modern style door silencer and drill the holes out to the acceptable required size.

Q: hi purchase silencer for metal door frame and having a difficult time getting it into frame. any suggestions? Visitor: 15:36 hi Richard, can you help me to install silencer?
A: The items can certainly be frustrating to stick into a hollow metal frame however there is a version of this bumper, the Ives SR64 Door Silencer - Each bag has an installation tool included. The installation tool or insertion tool looks like the pull pin that you would see on a fire extinguisher as seen here:

Then I would guess what have a wire diameter of about .100”
As an option you can certainly look for something perhaps like an 8 penny nail and if you were to cut the end down so that it was blunt you could probably make that work.

Q: Need to by about 500, the thickness of what our door installers are installing are these thinner that what we are being supplied the looks are not clicking in closed. We have wood doors hung in metal frames and are in need of something a little thinner. Less by maybe 1/16" Can you help?
A: I understand that you have wood doors. Having experience in wood door machining and based on the fact that there is no metal frame silencer with a thinner head I would tell you that the problem is this:
The hinge prep, specifically the backset, on the doors is incorrect and not the 1/4”that it needs to be and is 5/16" which is incorrect. The problem that youre having is a result of incorrect hinge machining.
I suppose you could try to grind down the head of the bumpers which Ive never tried and out would work or you could forgo them all together and use a self-adhesive teardrop shape type of gasketing.
