Product Description:
HTP Hydrotest Pump

Standard Features:
  • Stainless steel piston with aluminum body
  • Designed for use in testing pipe lines, pressure tanks and pressure vessels (i.e., fire extinguishers)
  • Uses check valves which are more efficient and longer lasting than old poppet system
  • 0-1000 psi pressure gauge
  • Weight: 7 lb.
  • Cylinder displacement: 1.37 cu. in.
  • Diameter:
  • - Inlet: 1/2"
    - Outlet: 1/2"
    - Piston: 7/8"
  • Materials:
  • - Body: Aluminum
    - Piston: Stainless Steel
  • Instructions:
  • 1. Fill the system to be tested with water, using the pressure of the source of water directly through the pump. The intake and outlet valves within the body of the pump will automatically open to allow the flow. The manually operated external valve must be open at this time. Pull pump handle back to let cylinder fill.
    2. Always maintain source pressure to intake to prevent air from entering pump.
    3. Bleed all air from the system being tested.
    4. Pump with smooth even strokes until desired test pressure is reached, then close external manual valve.
    5. Upon completion of test, relieve pressure in system as for bleeding air.
    6. Open external valve to relieve pressure on internal outlet check valve.
    7. Maintain pressure only long enough to test system.
    8. Keep dirt out of open ports of pump (see note below).
NOTE:
  • PUMP MUST BE DRAINED AFTER USE! It is imperative that clean water be used for testing. Foreign matter under the seat valves will render the pump inoperative.
  • The poppet valves in the old pump can be replaced with the new check stem valves.
When installing check valves, make sure brass stem of BOTH valves faces the inlet (see HPCS ).
    • Questions and Answers
Q: possible to be used in fuel hydro testing (JetA-1)
A: The HTP is for low pressure hydro-testing. Typically, this is well below 1000 psi. Where is your PSI range for your requirements?
(Required, used to email you once question is answered.)
