Q: On the quick release 4000, if the valve is turned off or closed will the quick release still discharge when quick release lever is engaged or does the valve have to be open for the quick release to work. I know question is simple but someone said the quick release will work even if valve is closed. That to me seems impossible. I just want to know. I also would like any safety literature that tells users how to safely use this product. Such as how to reset quick release and valve before refilling.
A: Lifting the quick-release handle will open the valve. If you had to open the valve first, the quick release would serve no purpose.

Q: Mr. howard , I know it has a pressure relief valve. My question concerns a safety shipping vent plug that keeps the discharge port from blowing all out if accidently or inadvertently activated by the quick release valve Buckeye and some other manufacturers mentioned such a safety device.
A: There is no “shipping vent plug” for this product.

Q: I'm looking to replace a 4000 psi wheel valve. I do not want a quick release valve. I know they were produced because I have the old valve with a 4000 psi guage and is stamped N-100. I thought this was a Steel Equipment n-100 cga 580 valve with 4000 psi guage
A: What you have this item:

The N-100 shown inyour photo has been modified with a 4000 psi gauge. But the item link above is UL listed with the 3000 psi gauge. The modified gauge is not UL listed and still Burst Pressure 3,360 PSI & maximum working pressure 2,200 PSI.
