Q: I am trying to source some replacement horns for Co2 extinguishers. I have several Amerex and some Kidde that all use the same size horn. I need to know if the thread pitch on the B114 is 3/8x24 or some other size.

A: I cannot be sure as the the thread type as the manufacturer does not publish this data, however my 3/8 x 24 tap threads in reasonably well but as it is a taper tap I cannot thread it in deeply enough to be reassured it is 3/8 x 24 thread.
