Questions and Answers
Q: I have double hung windows and would a way to secure the latches so the windows cannot be raised. The windows have some sort of bars through them, so they are not a full pane of glass, but I would like a way to ensure the windows cannot be raised should a burglar break through one of the small squares of glass.
A: I would suggest you consider replacing your existing sash locks with keyed sash locks and examples of a keyed sash lock can be seen here:
