A: That wouldn't work. Reversing the wiring diagram will not add the wave back to the power. You will need a AC power supply like a transformer.

A: Polarity always matters in low voltage. The reason I remember that is there was a time when I jumped my very expensive SUV and put my negative jumper cable onto the positive post of the battery. Luckily that truck had a circuit breaker - there must have been other equally deficient individuals as myself who have attempted this in the past - (thank you very much GMC).
