A: The only way to accomplish a double cylinder function using the atoms right Adams Rite 4190 series sliding door locks would be to install two of them so that you had a key to cylinder on each side of the door and a vertical sliding knob so that you could always control access and egress through the opening. It would be possible to lock someone within the space or outside of the space and I would not be able to get in without a key from the opposite side of the door.

A: You can indeed replace both the exterior and interior escutcheons from the 4430 series with the 4189 series, though be mindful to replace both the interio and exterior at the same time.
