It needs the MS Cam obviously.
I have a 2” x 4” steel tube we’re putting this AdamsRite 1870 in. I was thinking I’d need to pull it off center because the cylinder length. You saying I’d be good to leave it centered like the 2nd snip shows?
What would the correct length be when it’s 2” to the centerline of the door? Normally a 1” length when it’s a 1 ¾” door, right?
Absolutely no problem with leaving the locks centered in that 4" thick steel tube.
In terms of specifying a net length for purposes of your drawing I would say it is. For purposes of ordering 2" is likely not the correct length You have to account for the cylinder collar and the small margin behind the cam (based on lock type). The latter I can figure out, but the former needs a determination on which hardware to use.
Indicate on your PO to me "length to be determined based on collar and lock type selected" and we will sort that out when the order is placed.
