Questions and Answers

Q: My question is if i can position the lock in the lower part of the door below the pull handle (the 1’-7” at the bottom) or it is too far away from the top header. The Adams Rite Co. 4016-30-01 Header 3 Point Lock 1 1/8" will work? The total height of the door is 11’-2”. If have to put the lock above the pull handle i think i will have the same problem because the rod of the Adams Rite 4015 Adams Rite 4015 Threshold Bolt won’t be long enough. Let me know your thoughts.

A: What I would end up doing would be getting longer lengths of threaded rod and connecting them together with a coupling nut if necessary to achieve the length that you require.
