ZHP442 Intumescent Hinge Pad
Size: 3.98” x 1.46” hinge pad, for 4” x 3.5” hinge
Material: Graphite
Use for timber doors
5/64” thick with self-adhesive backing on one side.
Are fitted behind the hinge on timber doors as this is an area most likely to suffer integrity failure in a fire.
In event of fire, they rapidly expand to provide additional protection and insulate the heat transfer from hinge to door and frame
The activation temperature is 442ºF (228ºC) and expands 80 times their own volume with an expansion pressure of 0.09N/mm2
Hinge pads are supplied in packs of 6 pre-cut pieces
