Q: Why does the PS900 power supply not provide any DC output when AC power light is on?
A: The following items may cause the PS900 series power supply to have no DC output voltage.
1. If the DC voltage selection jumper is missing, the power supply will not provide any DC output.
2. If the power supply is over loaded, the DC output will drop voltage. Remove the load from the power supply and allow twenty seconds for the power supply to reset then measure the DC output.
3. If the DC voltage was selected from 24VDC to 12VDC or vice versa after the AC voltage was applied to the power supply this could cause the power supply not to provide any DC output. Always select your DC voltage selection before applying AC into the power supply. Remove AC for twenty seconds, power supply will reset.
4. If the FA jumper is missing or fire alarm board is not connected to NC fire alarm contact only on PS902, power supply will not provide any DC output.
Q: No DC output from Power Supply
A: Current power supplies (900-series)
Check for illuminated “AC” LED. If not illuminated:
Check AC wire connections and make sure wires are connected properly and receiving proper AC incoming voltage:
Black - Line
Green - Ground
White - Neutral
Check the 4 Ampere “Slo Blo” Fuse. If it has blown, it will need replacement.
If no 900-FA option board is present, ensure FA jumper is in place.
If 900-FA option boards are present, ensure 900-FA terminals FA1 and FA2 have closure.
Q: Can I run 4 QEL devices from one PS902?
A: No, you can only add one 900-2Q option board to the PS902 power supply and 900-2Q only can support two QEL devices.
Q: Where are the Data sheets or Installation Instructions for the 900 series Power Supplies?
