Von Duprin #1609 Strike for 22 Rim Device.
This strike is for double door applications where the panic device is mounted onto the active door and the strike is mounted on the push face of the inactive door.
This type of installation is usually used in a double door situtation where the client is seeking to keep the cost of the opening to a minimum by using a rim device on the active door is a pair (and when the inactive door is held closed by a vertical rod device or bolts.
This strike however posses a disadvantage in that it hangs into the opening by roughly 7/8" (and is also considered unslightly by some people).
This strike is available in only satin chrome finish.
The size of this strike is 3 1/4" high x 1 15/16" wide and has a projection of 3/8".
The minimum stile dimension for this strike is 4 3/8".
