Questions and Answers
Q: Why is the load capacity so low for this collection of Sugatsune Hinges. It seems like similar designs from other OEMs have significantly higher load capacities. I want use these hinges for a 23lb cabinet door (58" tall x 17.5" wide). Considering that the doors are not very wide meaning the CofG is much closer to the axis rotation than typical doors, do you think these hinges will be ok?

My personal opinion is the Sugatsune America SLPAS-80 Overlay Pivot Door Hinge, 3-1/8" Length - 1 Pair will handle the 23 lb weight of your doors, but the manufacturers published data clearly states 8.8 lb.
