NB 65 ZN Nylon Tipped Spring Bolt

Description:
  • The Nylon Tipped Spring Bolt is a replacement for and a higher quality version of the now discontinued Stanley 1697 and has quickly become the industry standard for North America's national fire-rated door manufacturers.
  • The NB 65 ZN spring bolt is robust and exceedingly well made. The perfect machining and zinc plating of the brass pin and barrel provide an excellent appearance and feel. In addition, the NB 65 ZN operates with a strong stainless steel spring and retains the old Stanley 1697 nylon tip.
  • We've had an overwhelmingly positive response for this bolt from many of the largest national fire-rated door manufacturers and have increased our production runs to meet the high demand. If the SRS NB 65 ZN stands up to the rigors and testing of their demands, you know they will serve your needs as well.
  • They have incorporated Stanley’s economical nylon tip and replaced the corrosion-prone steel housing with a durable zinc plated brass housing and non-corroding stainless spring mechanism for a trouble-free service life.
  • The bolt has an attractive spade-shaped finial for a secure and comfortable grip. This cost-effective bolt is used extensively to fasten transom windows by large fire-rated door manufacturers.
  • The bolts can also be used in a variety of situations where a sash, screen or panel needs to be easily removable.
  • They are easy to install requiring only a 3/8″ diameter hole drilled through each lower stile and a second hole drilled into the window or door jamb. The swaged and slotted housing is a secure press fit. The bolts are zinc plated.
  • Door and window manufacturers use the bolts to secure transom sash over doors, insert screens or interior storm panels.
