SOSS® Invisible Hinge model #218 is for use in wood or metal applications that are 1-3/4″ to 2″ thick. The model #218 is made of zinc and steel materials. Nylon links add strength and durability. This full size door style hinge will provide superior appearance and durability. Our Hinges are found in many applications where flush fit, compact size and smooth operation are necessary features. SOSS® Invisible Hinges open a full 180° and are a single action hinge.

Q: Rich, I have a interior "secret door" that I have built. It is a solid core wood door with Soss invisible hinges. The problem is that I do not want to have a handle on the outside. I have added 2 Sagatsune long stroke touch latches, but they do not have enough strength to push the door open enough to get your fingers on it. You seem to be very insightful with this specialization. Do you have any idea what I can add to push it open. Right now, I think I need a heavy duty spring loaded "something" to open it, and a separate magnetic latch to hold it when closed. What do you think? Thank you for your insight. Jody
