Q: Can a 24 v dc door strike work with this system

A: Absolutely - the Securitron BPS-24-2 24VDC Boxed Power Supply With 2A Capacity is a 24 volt dc power supply that is capable of producing two amps and every electric strike that I'm familiar with would require far less than 2 amps and probably closer to about .3 or .4 or .5 amp range - in fact if the electric strike was the only electrified component or load as we call it in low voltage wiring I would suggest that you go with the 1 amp version of this power supply which is the Securitron BPS-24-1 24VDC Boxed Power Supply With 1A Capacity as seen here:
