  • POPULAR FIELD INSTALLED OPTION - 12" Upper Extension for TEL-300 for Over Height Doors
  • The Trident Multi Point Exit Lock provides multi-point deadbolt locking with maximum, time-proven resistance to break-ins.
  • Code compliant, single motion exiting retracts all moving bolts simultaneously, as opposed to the use of slide bolts, drop bars, padlocks, etc., which violate building and fire safety codes.
  • Offering maximum protection at the lock edge, the stainless steel deadbolts project one full inch into the frame. Also included is a hinge-side bolt that protects the door against hinge-side attacks.
  • The Trident™Multi-Point Lock’s bottom locking module bolts into the frame instead of into the floor.
  • All locking modules are all thru-bolted, including the stainless steel anti-pry plate.
  • Added options range from battery-operated, direct power, and signal output for alarms, plus entry options such as keyed entry and access control integration.

Questions and Answers
Q: I have a SECURITECH exit alarm TELA 10. I installed new batteries in the alarm keeps going off. Is there a way to reset this?
A: This is what the manufacturer has provided us which sie not seem to address the issue. Securitech has also stated You can also call in to Tech support*

Problem:

Alarm sounds when key is removed when arming the alarm.

Common Causes:

  • - Tamper screw is not fully inserted into the keyed alarm box or it’s missing.
  • - Tamper screw has been replaced with other screw type which could damage the tamper switch.
  • - Armored alarm cable that extends from keyed alarm box to the lock body is not fully inserted, partially pulled out or broken.
  • - The main deadbolt is not fully extended or is rubbing inside the strike. Bolt must have clearance.
  • - Low battery alert which chirps twice every 40 seconds has been ignored. When battery voltage falls below 7 volts, alarm can’t be disarmed even if the key is rotated clockwise fully.

    Less common cause:

  • - Reed contact at end of alarm cable that extends into the lock body is faulty. Meter testing would show no continuity.
  • - Vinyl 9 volt battery connector has a broken wire, so battery is not connected. Check the following: - Check if tamper screw is 8-32 x 3/8” pan head Philips
  • - Make sure tamper screw aligns with tamper switch inside alarm box lid.
  • - Make sure alarm armored cable is fully inserted into the lock body cover and can’t be pulled out.
  • - Make sure that the main deadbolt is fully extended when door is closed.
  • - Make sure the two 9volt batteries have good voltage, above 15volts at least.
  • - Make sure batteries are Duracell or Energizer Alkaline type.

    Troubleshooting:

  • - Connect both batteries
  • - At alarm box, Insert key and rotate clockwise until the key stops (to disarm alarm)
  • - Make sure tamper screw is fully inserted into the bottom of the keyed alarm box
  • - Push the emergency paddle and open the door. (Alarm should not sound)
  • - Prop the door open and extend the bolts on the Trident lock
  • - If Manual locking, pull paddle to extend bolts
  • - If Self-locking, activate trigger at edge of lock body to extend bolts automatically
  • - At alarm box, rotate key counter-clockwise and remove. Two loud chirps should be heard, then silence. Alarm should be armed at this point.
  • - If alarm sounds at this point there could be other issues that cause this to happen. Have a service technician call Securitech Technical Support.

Please note: Did you secure the tamper screw at the bottom of the alarm box after replacing the batteries? as seen here:

It’s the most common cause of the alarm continuously sounding when arming the alarm. The tamper screw depresses a tamper switch when the lid is shut. Here’s a view of where the screw depresses the switch. Image describing this is here:
