Product Description:

L Series Entrance Mortise Lock with Lever 12 and 2-1/8" Rose

Applications: For commercial and institutional buildings: offices, schools, hospitals, and hotels where the finest in auxiliary mortise deadbolt locks are required.
Certifications: ANSI 156.5, 1992, Grade 1. UL Listed.
Spacing: Center line turn-piece to center line cylinder. 19/64" (29 mm)
Door Range: 1-3/4 " (44 mm) standard. Call for information on other door thicknesses.
Case Size: 4-7/16" x 3-5/8" x 1" (113 mm x 92 mm x 25 mm)
Armored Front: 1-1/4" x 5-19/32" x 7/32" (32 mm x 142 mm x 6 mm) standard.
Strikes: 1-1/8" x 3 5/8" (29 mm x 92 mm), no lip furnished with dust box , standard
Backset: 2-3/4" (70 mm) only.
Deadbolt: 1" (25 mm) throw stainless steel.

Entrance Lock
Latchbolt retracted by knob/lever from either side unless outside is locked by 20° rotation of thumbturn. Deadbolt thrown or retracted by 90° rotation of thumbturn. When locked, key outside or knob/lever inside retracts deadbolt and latchbolt simultaneously. Outside knob/lever remains locked until thumbturn is restored to vertical position. Throwing deadbolt automatically locks outside knob/lever. Auxiliary latch deadlocks latchbolt when door is closed. Inside lever is always free for immediate egress.

Q: Does the PD listed with lock model number mean anything?

A: Schlage and Falcon use the P cylinder suffix to designate conventional key-in-lever (KIL) 6 pin cylinder. The D means that the lock will have a deadlatch.

Q: Is there a round corner armor front for the L series mortise lock?

A: The L series armor fronts are only available with square corners.
