My question is will the Emergency Thumbturn (part L583-233) work for a restroom door that is still locked via the key, but not via the thumbturn inside (in other words, the restroom is locked via key from outside, but is not occupied at the time).
I work at a school and our classroom keys also allow us access to the restroom, but in the off chance (ie, an emergency, since I have a medical condition that may result in one) I am by a restroom and dont have my classroom key (which sometimes happens if I run out of my room for something), will this emergency thumbturn part still open the restroom door? Or will I still need my issued classroom key? Thanks in advance, Ron
