A: I too have noticed when replacing the square plate to the radius corner version plate on the last fault that you don't always get it to click back into place which is just a result of the way the pieces have been manufactured. I would however not hesitate in completing the installation because when the plate goes over the assembly of the latch bolt and the screws will hold it all down having it click or not click becomes unimportant.

A: We cannot replace the part because we deal in Schlage Commercial locks which is a wholly different distribution channel compared to their residential division.
