A53PD ORB 605 Grade 2 Entrance Lockset with Orbit Knob - Polished Brass

Entrance Function: Turn/push-button locking; pushing and turning button locks outside knob, requiring use of key until button is manually unlocked. Push-button locking; pushing button locks outside knob until unlocked by key or by turning inside knob.

Cylindrical lock housing; cold-rolled steel, corrosion treated for normal atmospheric conditions.
Key-removable outside knobs for easy cylinder replacement.
Solid brass 6-pin cylinders.
No exposed mounting screws.
Meets or exceeds 400,000-cycle ANSI Grade 2 requirements.
UL/cUL Listed up to 3 hours.

Questions and Answers

Q: What is a wafer key?

A: While wafer type cylinders / locks are certainly still available and commonly seen as cam locks, as far as Schlage is concerned, wafer keys were used prior to the current pin and tumbler design used today. These are discontinued and are no longer available from Schalge as technology used on Schlage cylinders.
