Questions and Answers

Q: Richard, For the floor stop we have porcelain tile over concrete. The Rockwell floor door stop came with two forms of attachment as seen here:

One looks like a plastic anchor and the other is a metal lag shield looking thingy. See attached photos. The gc is uncertain which to use. Please advise your opinion. Thank you!

A: Either the sheet metal screw SMS with the plastic anchor or the machine screw MS with the lead anchor will work. The preferred of the two would be the latter. Far better-holding strength using a machine screw and lead anchor.
