  • Automatic door bottoms: 18" to 24" cannot be trimmed. 36", 42" and 48" can be trimmed up to 3". Other sizes can be trimmed up to 1". Part 370 can be trimmed up to 2" in all sizes.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Door bottoms are not designed to seal directly on carpet. For best results door bottoms should seal on a solid surface. The solid surface should be positioned above the level of the floor covering on either side of the door. Door bottoms are field reversible and can be used in semi-mortised applications.

Questions and Answers
Q: Why is there no cover plate on the end of door bottom with the screw. This is a question for manufacturer – see image here:

A: There is only one supplied for the swing side (latch stile) only, we only offer a solid plate no holes in them for the hinged side. You can buy the second plate only. To be clear these come with one blank plate for the latch side only. If the client wanted a second plate for the hinge stile, you can order it and you would have to prep it for the drop bolt.

The manufacturer did not provide a satisfactory answer in terms of why its default to send only one - I would imagine its because they simply dont have a means to easily manufacturer the pierced second plate.
