Q: I'm confused, the black picture looks like it would be 2.5 x 2.75 but the greyish picture showing the locked position looks like it could be 4.5". Which is which? Thank you.
A: The base size (the locking part / door part) = 2-1/2" wide and 1-1/2" high.
The total unit width when locked is 4-1/2". If this is not clear or you still have a question - please ask.

Q: Are replacement keys available as separate items?
A: The vendor, Pro-Lokk, states that they do not sell replacement key blanks because key blanks are so readily available and they believe that there is a blank that will work inside of their padlock is part number 10-11 from Kaba Ilco. However this does not come up in any search that I have been able to perform and have yield results.
If you would like to purchase one new Pro-Lok ELK-111-KA Chrome Hasp Lock, 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" to just get the keys out of it, I will take that unit and prior to shipping do extensive research with local locksmith in resources I have to try to determine the proper key blank for it.
Worst case scenario you would buy an entire lock to simply get the two key blanks.

Q: Hi Rich - So does this mean that if we order another lock likely the key will be the exact same one as the locks we already have? Im not clear on this - if we have no keys but the blank is the Kabo Ilco 10-11, can we go to say a Home Depot and ask for them to cut that key for us? Or they would need a key or the lock itself to do it? Thanks! Jenny H
A: Jenny - according to the manufacturer these locks can be ordered either keyed alike or keyed differently. Question regarding you not having keys was answered above. I had stated that I was unable to come up with a match for that part number that was given to me from the manufacturer for the key blank. As a result I don't believe that that part number provided is accurate it anyway.
