Q: I purchased a large quantity of the Pemko 5025ASB material.
After installing all of this material into several doors, I realized that the projection of the soft brush was inadequate to do the job by about 3/8 of an inch .
I realize that Pemko manufacturers the 5041ASB that will give me a projection of something in the range of .66 inch and as it turns out the projection of .66 inch will actually be quite ideal for my application.
The question that I have however is the replacement soft brush or pile only that would be included with the 5041 model be compatible to slide into the extrusion of the 5025 model?
The reason I ask is because I do not want to remove the 5025 aluminum extrusion and simply insert into it the new replacement soft pile or brush that would have come with the 5041 model if I had ordered that originally.
Please review and advise, thank you very much
A: Thank you for asking me this question, and I too would wish, that if I was in your position, Iwould not want to try to pound out or remove the exclusions from the 5025 Pemko material.
Having said that, I have contacted Pemko's technical service department, and regret to report that the compatibility of the soft brush from the 5041 is not compatible with the 5025 extrusion, and this was double-checked via a customer service rep at the manufacturer physically attempting to insert the larger projection brush into the smaller projection brushes extrusion.
At this point my only recourse to help you solve and move forward on the job site is to sell you all new 5041 ASP material.
