A: Spring Tension is simply adjusted by inserting a tension rod (a 4 penny nail should work) and turning the tension collar clockwise (provided the tension collar is nearest the top of the door). You will feel an increase in tension and simply relocate the tension pin into the newly revealed hole. If you hear creaking in the spring when testing, that is an indication there might be too much tension set on the collar and perhaps adding an additional spring hinge to the door would be required.
