Q: we are installing the 222 Automatic door bottom at a music academy , the neoprene part is not coming down evenly , it comes down more on side where adjusting rod is - the neoprene part is not coming down evenly , only on one side
A: Sounds like it is operating correctly.
Q: Is that the way it should operate?
A: 38 The side that ends up dropping first please confirm that is your hinge side.
Q: yes, that is the side that drops first (amazing service you have)
A: The way that an automatic door bottom is intended to operate is that the hinge side must come down first because the lock side or the opposite side of the door even when the hinge side is basically at a closed position the outside of the door might still be ajar by 5° of the opening - this is why the bottom is intended to come down unevenly so that you are not dragging the seal against the floor Visitor.
Q: I see ... thank you so much, I am blonde and trying to work out this for workers!
A: hah - we Standby ready to assist
Q: Can I just cut this with a bandsaw, do I have to take it apart, I'm removing about 1.5"
A: You can cut this with a bandsaw, but do not disassemble the unit at all in fact.

Do not cut from end with adjusting rod. Do not
cut until drop bar is extended in down position. Insert the (2) nails provided into the small holes located on the
side of the drop bar to keep drop bar extended while cutting. MAXIMUM CUT door bottoms 36” and longer =
4”, shorter than 36” should not be field cut, order net length.
