Q: I am trying to determine if the LCN 9553 Reg2 has the ability to set a door stop so that a wall stop would not be required during manual operation.
A: No - the LCN 9553 cannot be used in this fashion. An auxiliary means of stopping the door is to be used.

Q: Will a Senior Swing work with swing clear hinges?
A: Tjhank you for asking and I have determined the Push Side Surface Mount Senior Swing can be used with swing clear hinges, standard templating however the
Pull Side Surface Mount Senior Swing cannot be used, the pull arm will hit the back of door at approximately 85°.Finally the
Concealed Mount Senior Swing can be used with swing clear hinges using the Offset Pivot (OP) arm only.

Q: Can LCN 9553 REG2 be provided with limit switches to provide status indication of door fully open and door closed?
A: Do you want to have the door status reported to a central station?
Q: Can these be used for fire door hold open purposes?
A: If the 9550 operator is held open with magnetic hold open, the operator will become confused after a few operations and the door will not operate as expected. It is better to hold the operator open with a constant activation or a three way key switch, 8310-806K as seen here:
or the 8310-806R as seen here:

The fire alarm should be connected to the main power lead of the operator to open the circuit during an activation. The operator will close the doors.
Q: What power supply is required for two EL devices and one LCN auto operator?
A: Von Duprin PS914 x 900-4RL supports two EL with two auto operator.
The capabilities of the auto operator and the required operation of the opening will affect the selection of a power supply.
Resolution:
The 900-4RL has two out put for EL devices and signals to the auto operators to open the doors.
PS914 power supply is required with 900-4RL option board to operate the EL device and auto operator.
900-4RL must be programmed for AO function. See this link:Download File
Q: Can a Senior Swing 2850 or 2860 be used on a Double Egress (DE) door?
A: In Tech Support, we do not see a reason that would prevent a RH/LH motor set in a 2850 CP - Center hung Pivot from working. (2850 OP - Offset Pivot or Butt Hung will not work.) Order it 2853 CP but specify “Double Egress” maybe even add the handing such as RH X LHR. That should get it through Order Entry.
