Q: What regular arm closers mounted on the pullside can be held at 180 degrees?
A: The 1260, 1460, and 4030 regular arm closers on the pullside will allow 180° door opening and can be held open at 180°, frame and trim permitting.
Q: Does the old style 4030 have the same templating as the new style 4031?
A: The old 4030 series was:
Handed
Mounted regular arm hinge side.
Had sized springs, were not adjustable.
The 4033 is an obsolete closer. If required, handing can be verified by looking at the following designations stamped on the bracket that the closer is attached to:
"R" for right hand
"L" for left hand
LCN 4031 is a "FUNCTIONAL" replacement for the obsolete 4030 but is NOT a direct retrofit as the mounting hole pattern is different.
The new 4031 is:
Non handed
Can be mounted regular hinge side, top jamb, or parallel arm.
Has adjustable size 1 - 4 spring. Q: Does LCN have a closer or operator for sliding doors?
A: LCN does not offer any products for sliding doors although others do. Can you be more specific about your door, how it is mounted, the weight, size and composition?
Q: Does LCN or Dor-O-Matic still make a floor closer?
A: Neither Dor-O-Matic or LCN manufacturers a floor closer although others do.
Q: What is an LCN 1521 closer?
A: The 1521 is simply a re-numbered 4031 closer. They are the same unit.
Q: What is the 689 finish?
A: The BHMA standard 689 is an Aluminum finish, and is silver/gray in color.
Q: can I buy the regular arm only
A: Indeed yes you can - the regular arm only for the LCN 4031 is the 4030-3077 x finish as seen here:

Q: What arm can I use for the old LCN 4030/4130 closer?
A: The old 4030/4130 closers and arms are obsolete, there is nothing to replace them. No arm from other closers will fit
There is no closer that can replace the old 4030 series closer with the exact same mounting holes.
The NEW 4030 closer is the closer that replaces the old one, but all new templating will be required.
